The story of the rainbow corn begins with an Oklahoma farmer named Carl Barnes. He has suceeded in selecting, saving, and replanting seeds from particularly colourful cobs from ancestral types of corn. Over time, this resulted in rainbow-coloured corn. The translucent kernels really do shine brilliantly like rainbow coloured glass.
